Math Enrichment Programs for Every Grade

Building Strong Math Foundations Through Conceptual Learning and Problem-Solving

Jersey City – Hoboken – Union City – Online
Group Classes & Private Tutoring
Grades K-11

At AlphaMinds Academy, our Elementary Math program is based on the internationally acclaimed Singapore Math curriculum, which emphasizes deep conceptual understanding and strong problem-solving skills.

For advanced students in Algebra and beyond, we use the rigorous and enrichment-focused Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) curriculum, designed to challenge and inspire young mathematicians.

In addition to math, students can explore a variety of enrichment classes for Pre-K – 11, ensuring that every child has opportunities to grow across subjects while building confidence and academic curiosity.

With small group instruction, flexible in-person and online options, and available private tutoring, we offer a personalized math learning experience that supports critical thinking, nurtures individual strengths, and lays the foundation for long-term success.

Class Registration

We have been doing AlphaMinds math for 4 years now. My son just got accepted into his Gifted and talented program at his Middle School. He is getting 102-106 on his math tests (with extra credit). It is definitely due to the teaching at AlphaMinds. We do in person on Saturdays. He says the class is enjoyable and he likes to go! He also does zoom make up classes and learns very well due to the teacher there. if you are looking to get your child thriving and excelling in school, alpha minds is the best program in town.

Gia Lam (mother of 7th grader)

Our daughter is in the math program and has been amazing. The teacher explains very good during the virtual class and our daughter is more confident in math now, and she is doing great in the school too thanks that she is working deep math in the alpha minds program. We plan to keep with the classes every year. I hope this helps to other parents to decide enrolling their kids, because for us has been the best decision.

Yadira Salum (mother of 5th grader)

AlphaMinds is a God sent.  Its teachers are nurturing and try their best to help children become the best they can be.  It’s the best choice I’ve made for my son in his academics.
Math: His Math class is amazing, my son has learned and progressed so uch because of his teacher’s hard work and kind loving nature.  He loves math and it’s now his favorite subject. Than you, AlphaMinds!
Chess: I am so happy I made the choice to have my son study chess at this school.  His teachers are great and they teach him to focus and think ahead. My son is calmer and makes great choices as he applies it to life.
Programming/Scratch: This is a great class.  My son has progressed with his use of the computers and is begining to understand what hard work is.   He has to work harder at this class because his teacher challenges him to be his best.

Both. The program provides enrichment and acceleration for students seeking greater challenge, while small-group instruction and private tutoring can also address gaps and provide academic support.

New students complete a placement assessment to determine the most appropriate level based on their current math skills and knowledge. Returning students generally progress to the next level after successfully completing the prior course.

To request a placement assessment, please email us at info@alphamindsacademy.com

Singapore Math is the foundation of our elementary math program, helping students develop strong conceptual understanding, number sense, and problem-solving skills. As students advance into Algebra and higher-level mathematics, we incorporate Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) to provide greater depth, challenge, and exposure to more sophisticated mathematical reasoning.

Our math classes are ability-based rather than strictly grade-based. New students are assessed and placed according to their current skills and knowledge, allowing them to work at the level that provides the right degree of challenge, whether that is above or below their current school grade level.

Weekly homework is assigned to reinforce the concepts and skills covered in class. Students are expected to complete their homework before the next class so they can build fluency, strengthen understanding, and be prepared to move on to new material.

Teachers monitor each child’s progress through classwork, completed homework, and ongoing observation. Parents can follow weekly class recaps and assignments through the homework portal, contact the teacher with questions, and receive a detailed progress report at the end of each semester outlining the student’s strengths, progress, and areas for continued improvement.

Math and Logic students are required to purchase a specific set of books and workbooks for their course. Details will be provided after registration. For in-person students, the books will be available for purchase directly from AlphaMinds Academy. Online students will receive instructions and links for ordering the required materials.
