Our Russian VII-X level courses are designed for children who want to strengthen their conversational Russian, refine their grammar and writing, and deepen their engagement with literature.
At this age, students are ready to explore more meaningful topics—but often find that their developing language skills limit their access to age-appropriate Russian texts. Students will read and discuss a wide range of texts—including poetry, prose, humorous school stories, novellas, absurd sketches, and documentary essays—while alternating between easy-to-read materials and more challenging works to build both skill and confidence.
To bring literature and language to life, students will also:
- Create art projects and visual interpretations of the texts they read
- Stage short skits and dramatizations to explore characters and dialogue
- Prepare and deliver mini-presentations or book talks in Russian
- Write and share original works, such as short stories or scripts
- Participate in collaborative projects to strengthen communication and teamwork
In addition to literature, the course includes a strong focus on grammar, spelling, composition, and speech etiquette, all woven into meaningful, real-world language use.
Join us for this dynamic, creative, and inspiring journey through Russian language and literature—and watch your child grow into a confident, expressive, and imaginative Russian speaker and reader.
