Our Chess Intermediate IV ” Rook Masters” course is designed for students who have mastered core intermediate strategies and are now ready to push their chess skills to a more advanced level. This course focuses on deepening analytical thinking, advanced planning, and high-level competitive play.

- Deep strategic planning: outposts, space advantage, and dynamic imbalances
- Mastery of advanced theoretical endgames and practical endgame conversion
- Building a versatile and flexible opening repertoire tailored to personal style
- In-depth positional evaluation and long-term planning
- Advanced game analysis: famous master games and student self-analysis
- Tournament mindset: time management, preparation routines, and psychological readiness
Classes feature advanced board demonstrations, intensive guided analysis, and tournament-style match play. Students are strongly encouraged to compete regularly in USCF-rated regional and national tournaments.
Prerequisites:
Completion of Intermediate III or equivalent tournament-level experience.
Duration:
One school year (approximately 32–34 lessons).
