CHESS INTERMEDIATE III “BISHOP QUEST”

Our Chess Intermediate III “Bishop’s Quest” course is designed for students ready to refine advanced tactics, deepen strategic understanding, and enhance competitive play.

Key Skills Covered:

    • Mastering complex tactics: decoys, interference, and clearance
    • Developing long-term strategic plans and pawn structure dynamics
    • Advanced endgame techniques and theoretical endgames
    • Expanding opening repertoire and handling unconventional openings
    • Positional play and exploiting imbalances
    • Analyzing famous games and personal game critique
    • Tournament preparation and competitive play strategies

Classes involve board demonstrations, practical interactions, and match play under instructor guidance. Students are encouraged to participate in regional and national chess tournaments.

Prerequisites: Completion of Intermediate II or equivalent knowledge.

Duration: One school year (approximately 32-34 lessons).
